Hole 15 Rebuild
After nearly one and a half years of pipeline construction, the course rebuild is finally underway throughout the golf course! Hover over or click on the images for more details on when and where the photos were taken.
The Rebuild
The 15th hole is the one that has quite possibly seen the most changes. The pipeline was drilled underneath the entire 15th fairway so we assumed that it wouldn't leave too much of a mess. Boy were we wrong! The entire 15th fairway was stripped of turf, levelled, and covered in wood matting for the duration of the pipeline construction while massive pieces of machinery sat on top. Trees had to be removed from both sides of the fairway making your landing area a bit wider and more forgiving. But don't be fooled, with the trees gone, that greenside bunker is looking pretty darn intimidating from the fairway!
The wooden matting used for pipeline construction was removed in June of 2023, and then the entire hole was reshaped closer to its original look. We laid all new drainage, installed new irrigation, and then covered it all in topsoil and turf. As of August, the hole is mostly completed with some work to be done just behind the green. It's looking fresh!
Fifteenth Hole Enhancements
In addition to repairing the entire fairway, the bunker that you can see in the images above was also renovated as a part of our bunker project. All of the sand was removed, cleaned and put back into the bunkers with a topping of new sand so it will be in pristine condition for reopening!
