Hole Sponsor Insider Tips
Thank you for sponsoring a hole at one of the tournaments held at Redwoods Golf Course! Below is some information you may want to know before the big day.
What to expect
It's going to be a super fun, but long day in the outdoors--rain or shine! Your company or brand will be seen by a whole bunch of people (up to 144 golfers + other sponsors!) and you will be busy networking all. day. long! There are so many opportunities to create great connections in this fun, relaxed setting!
Dos & Don'ts

| DO dress for the weather! If it's sunny, wear a hat and sunblock; if it's rainy, wear something that will keep you warm and dry! | DON'T plan to leave anything here overnight. Anything brought to the course MUST be removed the same day |
| DO bring beverages such as water, pop or juice--for yourself, or for giving out to golfers | DON'T bring any outside alcohol! If you would like to provide alcohol samples to golfers, please contact our Restaurant Manager |
| DO bring a popup tent or umbrella for rain or sun protection! Redwoods does not supply any tents or umbrellas | DON'T bring a table and chairs--we will have one 4-foot table and 2 chairs set on every hole who requests it. Additional tables and chairs can be requested as well |
| DO bring a generator if you require power at your hole. Very limited holes on the course have access to a power source | DON'T assume you will be able to drive your vehicle on the course. Only select holes have vehicle access. Let the tournament organizer know at least one week prior to the event if you will be needing to have a vehicle at your hole |
Frequently Asked Questions:
When should I arrive? Arrive at the course a minimum of ONE HOUR prior to the shotgun start. All set up must be completed 30 minutes before the scheduled tee off time.
How will I get to the hole I am sponsoring? We have a team of people who will escort you and your set up to the appropriate hole. If you are wanting to drive your vehicle to your holes you will need to confirm with the tournament organizer at least one week prior to the event to ensure the hole you are on has vehicle access.
How long does a tournament last? A shotgun tournament typically lasts 5 - 5.5 hours
Where are the washrooms? There are washrooms in the clubhouse and on the course that is accessible by the following holes: 1, 3, 7, 10, 14 & 16. A marshal will be driving around the course all day and they can also take sponsors to a washroom if you are not located near one.
I want to provide food samples. What type of food is best for that? Sample sized food works best so that golfers can eat on the move, and don't get too full. Stay away from handing out meal-sized portions.
Does Redwoods provide ice? Redwoods provides ONE bag of ice upon request. If you require more than one bag, please bring your own.
I want to have an activity on the hole I am sponsoring. What games work best? Simple and short activities work best so that all four people in a group can complete the game in less than 5 minutes.
