We love seeing youth develop a passion for golf, a sport that spans generations and is playable throughout an entire lifetime! That's why we offer a variety of youth-focused opportunities right here at the Redwoods to introduce juniors to this wonderful game and get them hooked!
Kids Golf FREE
At Redwoods, kids golf for FREE! Youth ages 12 & under can play for free any day of the week after 2pm, when accompanied by a paying adult. If playing earlier than 2pm, the junior green fee rate will apply. One complimentary child per paying adult.
Once a year we participate in NGCOA Canada's Take a Kid to the Course program where we extend FREE GOLF to juniors ages 15 & under for one glorious week! Book a tee time any time during this week and your junior 15 & under plays for free when accompanied by a paying adult! This typically happens during the first week of July but check back for the 2022 dates.
Junior Tees
To help ensure our junior golfers are having a fabulous time learning to play golf, we have added Junior Golf Tees to the course. These specialty tees are placed off to the side of the fairways on the front nine holes with designated yellow tee markers. The 9-hole, par 3, 1500 yard course gives juniors, or beginners, the opportunity to experience golf at a championship facility, while playing alongside an adult who can still choose to play the course from the regular tee markers. The Junior Tees feature holes ranging from 230 yards par 5's to 50-yard par 3's. We have also created custom Junior Scorecards which are available at the Golf Shop upon check-in.
Junior Development
Throughout the year we offer various junior golf camps to introduce kids to the game, and help them develop those key skills that will start their golf career on the right foot.
Camp Redwoods
Camp Redwoods is a golf instructional program for children ages 4-15! Participants will receive three 45-minute group lessons where they will learn the fundamentals of golf from our talented PGA of BC Golf Professionals. The programs are offered in two levels based on age where the junior golfers will learn all of the golfing basics from grip and swing to golf course etiquette.
