Offering an 18-hole championship layout public golf course, driving range, on-site restaurant and a premier all-inclusive outdoor wedding venue, Redwoods is a staple in the Langley community. From hosting company holiday parties and charity shotgun tournaments to spectacular weddings and public golf, we are proud to consistently deliver memorable experiences to our community. 

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Food and Beverage, the Server will assist with sales and service within the various food and beverage facilities, including the Restaurant, Beverage Cart, Concession, and the Event Bar. Outstanding customer service and communication skills are required to ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience. 

This is a seasonal position lasting from approximately May to November.

Please note that Redwoods is a gratuity-free facility, so there are no tips on top of the posted hourly wage.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Take food and drink orders from customers and enter on the point-of-sale system
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink orders and deliver to guests
• Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
• Prepare concession food
• Offer consistent professional, engaging and friendly customer service
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly
• Develop knowledge of the menus, common dietary restrictions, liquor selection and general facility offerings
• Clear and reset tables
• Maintain general cleanliness of the work environment as well as nearby bathrooms and storage areas
• Monitor inventory and stock product as needed, including changing kegs
• Ensure responsible alcohol service standards are maintained
• Ensure FoodSafe standards are maintained
• Operate any job-related vehicles safely and responsibly
• Learn and exhibit knowledge of golf course etiquette
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Other duties as required

 Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age
• Valid Serving it Right will be required to be maintained during employment
• Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required
• Valid Basic First Aid, CPR-C, and AED Certification, or equivalent, will be required to be maintained during employment
• Experience in a hospitality or food service environment is an asset
• Experience in a golf course environment is an asset
