Are you independent, hardworking and responsible? Are you a bit of a night owl? We are looking for a part-time Night Janitor to join our team! Qualified individuals must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both alone and with others in a small team environment.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY OVERNIGHT

As a Night Janitor, you will use a variety of different skill sets while working in both indoor and outdoor environments: setting up tables and chairs for events, cleaning duties both in the clubhouse and on the course, patrolling the golf course by cart etc. The workload changes throughout the year and varies from night to night. Shifts will be spent either working independently or with one other Night Janitor team member. 

Please note: the ideal candidate MUST have a valid Driver's License with the ability to commute to and from work without relying solely on transit because the bus station near Redwoods does not operate during the time frames that this position entails.

What you can expect

• Clean and set up the marquee tent for events
• Empty garbage and recycling bins around the facility and golf course
• Clean clubhouse and golf course washrooms
• Vacuum, sweep and mop the clubhouse and tent areas
• Clean the driving range
• Monitor the golf course, clubhouse, parking lot and driving range

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to confidently work alone overnight
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Quick thinking and 'can-do' attitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Physically able to carry out the duties of the position

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in a janitorial role is required
• Availability to work overnight on weekdays, weekends and holidays is required
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation practices and safe handling of cleaning chemicals is required
• Valid Driver's License is required
• Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required
• Valid First Aid Level 1, CPR, and AED Certification, or equivalent will be required to be maintained during employment
