CHARITY OF THE YEAR

In 2006 Redwoods implemented the Redwoods Cares program where each year the staff select a local Langley based charity to become the recipient of the charitable rounds initiative. Each time a staff member plays a complimentary round of golf they pay $2 which is awarded to this charity. In addition each time a public golfer is able to golf on a complimentary basis (often a silent auction prize donated to a charity) the player is asked to donate $5. These donations are accumulated during the year and at the end of the calendar year the funds are tabulated and awarded to the charity of choice.

2006 - $3,700 Cops for Cancer, Langley Field Naturalists & Play Golf

2007 - $2,766 Langley Animal Protection Society

2008 - $2,654 Langley Environmental Partners Society

2009 - Purchased a SNAG Junior Golf Kit for use in the Langley School District Elementary Schools

2010 - $3506 KidsSport
